LINDA LEE

Linda has over 25 years experience as a Physiotherapist (working in both NZ and UK) with Post Graduate Qualifications in Sports and Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She completed her Masters Thesis on Dance Injuries and Screening, with her research published and presented both in NZ and Internationally. Linda continues to peer review research papers for Dance Medicine and Science Journal.
Linda has a strong interest not only in injury management but also prevention. Linda's focus is to provide patients with evidenced based rehabilitation programmes and hands on treatment; with an emphasis on education and optimising clients own self-efficacy towards recovery. Having also trained in Acupuncture (PPANZ), Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS) and Pilates (with Polestar and Dance Medicine Australia), she is able to incorporate the benefits of these into the treatment plan to further optimise recovery. |
Linda has a special interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation of young adolescent dancers and athletes, including undertaking screening to develop individualised conditioning programmes for both rehabilitation and injury prevention. Linda has worked with young dancers for the past 12 years and also provides Dance Physiotherapy to international companies touring Auckland, including the Royal New Zealand Ballet (RNZB). She has been also provided physiotherapy to the Sydney Dance Company, Cedar Lake Ballet, Red Bull Flying Bach, Hofesh Shechter Company and the Ballet Preljocaj when they have toured Auckland.
Regularly attending Sports and Dance medicine/physiotherapy conferences keeps her up to date with the most current clinical practice.

CLAUDIA McLELLAN
BPhty (AUT)
Claudia graduated from AUT University with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy). Her interest in the human body and passion for movement lead her to pursue Physiotherapy. Claudia believes in empowering and educating individuals, so they understand their injury and how they can move more efficiently. She is a strong advocate for an active lifestyle and promotes its benefits for both physical and mental health. Claudia maintains an active lifestyle herself and has a background in dance, particularly ballet since a young age. She continues to participate in ballet, pilates, yoga, indoor netball and running. Claudia has worked for Dance Pilates since 2016, teaching Pilates and Dance Conditioning and educating young dancers within group sessions, privates, workshops and seminars. Claudia also has experience assisting with Physiotherapy at Waitakere Netball Centre and at the Wellington U19 National Netball Tournament.

ERIN BOWERMAN
BDance, MSp&E (AUT)
Erin is a qualified strength and conditioning coach with a background in dance, having trained in RAD ballet up to Advanced 2 level. She holds a Bachelor of Dance and a Master of Sport & Exercise from AUT University where she carried out her research at the Australian Ballet School in conjunction with High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) looking at the risk factors for overuse injuries in elite adolescent ballet dancers.
From 2016-2018 Erin was based in London where she worked as a strength and conditioning coach at the Royal Ballet School White Lodge and the National Centre for Circus Arts. In both roles Erin had the privilege of being at the forefront of developing and implementing the strength and conditioning service. Before moving to the UK Erin trained with and worked for Dance Pilates in Auckland (2009-2016) during which time she was heavily involved in the development of a number of their conditioning programs that are currently used and endorsed by the New Zealand School of Dance. |
Erin is also a qualified personal trainer and has had several articles from her Masters thesis published. She is experienced in both rehabilitation and prehabilitation and is incredibly passionate about improving dancers’ health, wellbeing and performance.
Since returning to New Zealand Erin has been working privately within the health and fitness sector including implementing a new healthcare service for the New Zealand Dance Company.
